Geotextile construction
1、 Rolling by hand, the surface of the cloth should be flat and properly left with deformation allowance.
2、 Installation of long or short filament geotextile is usually done by lap, stitching and welding. The width of stitching and welding is generally 0.1m or more, and the width of lap is generally 0.2m or more. Geotextiles that may be exposed for a long time should be welded or stitched.
3、 Stitching of geotextile:
All stitching must be continuous (for example, spot stitching is not allowed). The geotextile must be overlapped by a minimum of 150 mm before overlapping. the minimum stitch distance from the woven edge (the exposed edge of the material) is at least 25 mm.
The sewn geotextile seam consists of a maximum of 1 line of wired lockstitch chain stitch. The thread used for the seam should be a resin material with a minimum tension of more than 60 N and have chemical and UV resistance comparable to or exceeding that of the geotextile.
Any "missed stitches" in the sewn geotextile must be re-sewn in the affected area.
Measures must be taken to avoid soil, particulate matter or foreign substances entering the geotextile layer after installation.
The lap of the fabric can be classified as natural lap, sewn or welded, depending on the terrain and the function of use.
